We were lucky enough to attend sessions at Joseph’s and Jaffa at the Oval, both leaving you incredibly satisfied. Upon entry, you are treated to the famous Queen’s Park Swizzle, made by Angostura’s featured brand ambassador Neal Ramdhan who won the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge in 2016. During cocktail hour, you a treated a series of appetizers. Cocktail hour at Chaud will feature Short Rib Ragu, Seared Diver Scallops, Truffle Polenta, Gorgonzola & Spinach.
After cocktail hour, Chief Mixologist Raymond Edwards takes you through our favourite part of the evening – the rum tasting. He takes you on a journey with each premium rum, allowing guests to really take the time to find a new appreciation of rum in a gastronomic point of view.
The rum tasting sets the mood for the main course, as each menu item is careful crafted with Angostura’s rums. You almost feel like you’re experiencing an episode of Chef’s Table. Chaud’s main course features:
Atlantic Salmon Mi-Cuit (featuring Angostura 1919 Rum)
Wild Mushroom Soup (featuring Angostura 1787 Rum)
Angostura Bitters & Lime Sorbet
Reverse Seared Filet Mignon (featuring Angostura 1824 Rum)
And for dessert? La Reunion Estate Chocolate-Banana Creme Brûlée Passion Fruit Cremeux & Angostura 1787 Rum-Burnt Honey Ice Cream. Quite a mouthful, but a delicious one at that.
The House of Angostura’s is an intimate fine-dining experience like no other, and ideal for those looking for a gastronomic experience of an elevated level. Tickets are still available for $500 each, and can be reserved by calling Chaud.
